🎂 Age Calculator

Date of birth se exact age — saal, mahine aur din me.

Last updated: 7 Oct 2026 · Calculation based on publicly known formulas. This is an estimate — actual values may vary.

How we calculated it

We subtract your date of birth from the target date (today, or the “age as on” date you pick) year by year, month by month, day by day. When the day difference goes negative, we borrow the days of the month preceding the target date — so someone born on 31 January measured on 7 October gets the 30 days of September added, not a flat 30. Leap years are handled exactly: 29 February birthdays work, and total days lived is the true calendar difference.

Along with years–months–days we show total months lived, total days lived and the day of the week you were born — handy for birthday trivia and for forms that ask age “as on” a cutoff date.

Common uses

  • Exam eligibility: SSC, UPSC, banking and state exams define age limits “as on” a cutoff date — enter that date above.
  • Government forms: scholarships, certificates and job applications often need exact age in years–months–days.
  • Insurance & pension: entry age and vesting dates are computed to the day.

Frequently asked questions

How is age calculated in years, months and days?
Subtract the birth date from the target date. If the days go negative, borrow the days of the previous month; if the months go negative, borrow 12 months from the years. That's the standard calendar method this tool uses.
What if I was born on 29 February?
Leap birthdays are handled exactly. In non-leap years the calculation still anchors to 29 February, so your age in years–months–days stays correct — you don't lose or gain a day.
Can I find my age on a past or future date?
Yes. Use the optional “Age as on” field — for example, to check your age on an exam cutoff date like 1 August 2026, or how old you'll be on a future birthday.
Why do I need exact age for government exams?
SSC, UPSC, banking, railways and state exams set minimum and maximum age limits as on a specific cutoff date. Even being one day over the limit makes you ineligible, so the exact years–months–days figure matters.
Does the calculator use my timezone?
Dates are interpreted in your device's local timezone and set to midnight, so daylight-saving or UTC shifts can't change your age by a day.
